I went to a conference last month, and I heard several very anointed women preach powerful words from God. I felt as if the conference had been planned before my birth as a place in destiny, to reach my full potential. Prophetess Lisa Alexander stated, “We must be brilliant with the basics.” As the words parted her lips, rolled into the atmosphere, past the realm of hearing, into the place of understanding. I realized that God was making me accountable for the revelation parting through my conscious thoughts and I was responsible for producing fruit from the seeds she planted. I must be, “brilliant with the basics,” in the Kingdom of God. Continue reading
I was formed in the realm of creation, when the earth was void and without form.
Since I was created by God the very thought of me was divine.
From the dust of the ground and mist from the sea,
with the breath from His mouth, and the shape of His hand, He molded me.
I was thought of in Genesis, but did not exit the womb. Continue reading
Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and [then] at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Matthew 25:27
The other day I was out with some friends. I had a few of my CD’s on a table when a gentleman walked up and inquired what they were. My friend quickly relayed these are her CD’s and they are five dollars. He looked at me and said, “Give it to me for free.” Taken aback by his request, I responded by repeating the five dollar price and asked if he wanted to invest in me. Quickly he stated, “Of course I will invest in you, but I want the CD for free.” Continue reading
He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease. Job 12:5
I cannot fathom how long I have been reading, hearing, and learning about the Israelites in the wilderness. But I can recall thinking, “Dang! Why did it take them so long? They had to wonder for forty years? Why in the heck couldn’t they just get it right? Didn’t they understand there was a promise land to inherit? How many times did God have to prove He was their God?” Now to the mature in Christ and the everyday, all day, Holy, my thoughts might seem infantile. I almost agreed, until I began to live a little and then understood how easy it is to fall down, or slip. There were times I placed my feet in position and assisted in the push to slip! I am probably the only one who has ever accomplished this task, so I will only discuss my behaviors.
There was a day, when I purposely decided, today I am going to slip. I did not want to be obvious, so I wore my favorite fuchsia blouse with the back cut out and the front cut, low. Continue reading
I beseech you brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have ADDICTED themselves to the ministry of the saints. 1Chronicles 16:15
Last Sunday, I decided to take a run in the park. When arriving at the park I spotted an old friend. He was dripping wet, from head to toe, with no shirt, shining from sweat, headphones on, smiling brightly. Just Ugly! He told me he had ran from his house to the park and his plan was to continue running, hitting every park on that side of town, before returning home. He invited me to join his run, relaying that he needed a running partner. He proudly stated with the strength of God, he ran 13 miles every Sunday. I quickly declined his invitation . . . I was not ready to run down the street looking crazy! Continue reading
